Taken from Genealogy.com forum "Stephen Cohoon, age 54, born NY, appeared on the 1850 census of Jasper County, IL with Margaret, age 29, born NY, and George, age 15, born OH. Two real estate transactions recorded for Stephen, one on 10 Mar 1843, and one on 29 Mar 1845,indicate he was in Jasper County by 1843. A Stephen P.
